Start Selling on eBay

Selling products online with eBay is a fairly simple task. I have split it up into 5 steps.

1. Open a seller’s account
Opening a seller account is simple, just click on the “Seller’s account” link, and follow the registration process.

2. Prepare your item
You should research what similar products have sold for in the past so that you can be realistic about how much the product will sell for.

3. List your item
When listing an item, you need to ensure that you have everything listed that you want to be. This includes determining an auction type, the auction length, writing a description and maybe included an image of the item

4. Pricing, Payment, Postage
If you decide to set a “Buy It Now” price it is wise to research similar items. You also then need to define what types of payment you are willing to receive, whether by PayPal, personal cheque, or Wire Transfer. You will also need to state the postage costs if any, so that the buyer knows about any extra charges.

5. Managing and completing sales
Once the auction has finished, ensure you receive payment before sending off the product, the quickest means of payment is via PayPal. Once the transaction is complete, leave feedback regarding the buyer and also encourage them to leave feedback about you.
